Arya Poses An Intriguing Question on 'GoT'

by Kelly Schremph

Just in case you didn't think there was enough area to explore in George R.R. Martin's fictional fantasy world, Arya went ahead and posed an intriguing question during Sunday night's episode "No One" — one that surprisingly hasn't been asked before now: What is west of Westeros on Game of Thrones ? Apparently it's something that no one knows the answer to, but it's something that our Stark girl very much intends to find out once her latest injuries are healed.

After turning to the actress whom she saved from death, Lady Crane made Arya the offer of joining their troupe. And while the idea did seem to intrigue her ever so slightly, she declined in the end, saying that she wants to explore uncharted territory. Westeros is to the west and Essos is to the east. What what lies beyond Westeros? Perhaps a life that doesn't involve White Walkers, dragons, and constant murder? Who knows! But, I love the idea that Arya wants to find out.

Granted, I'm a little disappointed that she's not making it a priority to go in search of Sansa and Jon Snow, but given all of the reunions Season 6 has already awarded us, I suppose I shouldn't be too greedy. Plus, it's not as if this storyline isn't all sorts of intriguing in and of itself. Maybe Arya would actually be able to find a happy life for once or perhaps even find allies that could help her carry out that kill list of hers.

Either way, if this is where Arya Stark's story arc is headed from here on out, then I am ALL about it and can't wait to see how it all unfolds. That is, if the Waif and Jaqen H'ghar don't get to her first.
