Peep Sara Bareilles' Look At The 2016 Tony Awards

by Toria Sheffield

Anyone who was able to see this year's indie-movie-turned-musical hit Waitress will be happy to know that singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles arrived at the 2016 Tony Awards, and she looked totally amazing (as if there was any doubt she'd slay).

Bareilles, the talent behind the 2007 critical and mainstream hit "Love Song," has sold over a million records in the United States alone and has been nominated for five Grammy Awards, one of them for Album of the Year. What a lot of people might not know is that Bareilles was tapped to write the music and lyrics for the Broadway show Waitress, which is what landed her at this year's Tonys with a nomination for Best Original Score. This is her first Tony nomination ever, and I'm kind of crazy excited for her.

And as if that wasn't all awesome enough, the singer/songwriter totally dazzled upon arrival in a Gomez-Gracia, champagne-colored gown with a super sparkly bust. She accompanied it with a few bold accent rings and amulet earrings, her hair worn in loose curls. My personal favorite part of her look was how she totally let her funky personal style shine through while still managing to look utterly elegant.

This came as no surprise to those of us who have been tracking Bareilles award show style over the years, since she has a history of opting for bold statement dresses, often with sparkles, and always on point. Whether she goes home with an award tonight or not, she's scored a style win in my book!

Stunning, as per usual.

And just for good measure, here's a look at a past appearance at the Grammys. This girl knows how to rock a dress.
