Schuyler Sisters From 'Hamilton' Dazzle At Tonys

by Amy Sciarretto

There are three key female characters in the pop culture dynamo that is the Broadway musical Hamilton. The Schuyler sisters are the most important figures in main character Alexander Hamilton's life and they are played by actresses Phillipa Soo, Jasmine Cephas Jones, and Renee Elise Goldsberry. The Schuyler Sisters turned up at the 2016 Tony Awards, where their mega popular musical is up for tons of awards, looking amazing, which was to be expected because duh. While they are often referenced together based on their roles and because they are members of "The Ham Fam," each actor has her own unique personal style, which was on display at the ceremony.

Soo rocked a white gown that was busy... but in the best possible way. It had a lot of elements to the construction, which made it bit of a standout. It was beaded. The gown also had straps and was off the shoulder, with a sprinkling of silver jewels along the bodice and by the thigh-high slit. Her dress had flow and it showed quite a bit of leg, as well, She paired the gown with strappy, geometric heels and a whole lot of confidence. It was totally sexy and summery at the same time.

Soo's dress was flirty, feminine, and fun. I could totally see Selena Gomez wearing this to the Grammys.

Goldsberry went for a floral number, but it actually was quite groundbreaking for spring. The yellow and black pattern stood out on stage during the opening number.

We haven't seen Jones' look yet, but will update as soon as she shows.
