Zoe Saldana broke out some of her old Center Stage moves on Spike's special Star Trek themed Lip Sync Battle episode Thursday night. The actress, who played the rebel dancer Eva in the 2000 film about ballet dancers, proved that she's still got the moves during her performance of Twenty One Pilots' "Stressed Out." Saldana also brought out some very special guest stars when she went head-to-head with her Star Trek: Beyond co-star Zachary Quinto. Not only did she show off her Center Stage moves, Saldana joined TLC on Lip Sync Battle and took home the win. Not bad for a day's work.
After warming up the crowd with her dance-heavy performance of "Stressed Out" — "You nailed the plight of the middle class white boy," commented co-host Chrissy Teigen — Saldana wowed the audience when she brought out T-Boz (Tionne Watkins) and Chilli (Rozonda Thomas) to perform "No Scrubs." Saldana stepped in for Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, who tragically died in 2002, performing the lip sync in an almost perfect replica of Left Eye's "No Scrubs" silver outfit. Host LL Cool J was shocked to see the special guests, as were Quinto and Teigen. And the moment was clearly a dream come true for Saldana.
Teigen and Saldana both got a little emotional after the performance, especially after they got the chance to fangirl over T-Boz and Chilli. "Thank you for everything you've done for me," Teigen said, getting on her knees to bow down to the singers. Teigen and Saldana weren't the only ones star struck by TLC's guest appearance. There's no quesiton that Chilli and T-Boz helped push Saldana over the top, earning her the win and the Lip Sync Battle championship belt.
