On Wednesday, a huge teaser was dropped on Twitter by Pretty Little Liars star Shay Mitchell about a secret she'd been keeping for a year. She tweeted, "I've been keeping this secret for a year..." Then, after a few more cryptic tweets, she added, "I know I'm torturing you! I want to share as badly as you want to know just give me a little more time.." Immediately, it got the attention of her followers and her fans had to know what she was talking about. Eventually, it was announced that Mitchell is in Nick Jonas' "Under You" music video. Both the actor and singer dropped a teaser for the video and it definitely looks like it's going to be a steamy one. All of this news got me thinking, are Mitchell and Jonas friends?
It doesn't appear like the two are besties or that they even knew each other before the video, but I'm sure now that Mitchell is part of Jonas' music video, they've become friends. They both seemed very excited to announce their video collaboration, which officially drops June 10 on Tidal (the same day as the release of his new album, Last Year Was Complicated).
Based on the teaser, well, it sure looks like they got close while filming. But, of course, they are both actors, so clearly it's all for the cameras. Or is it? I kid, but, hey, you never know.
Whatever the case, it's clear that Mitchell is a fan of Jonas. For those who follow the 29-year-old actor on Snapchat, you know she loves to sing in the car. And that's definitely the case whenever Jonas' "Close" featuring Tove Lo comes on. Check it out:
Yeah, she's feeling it. As for Jonas being a fan of Mitchell? I have no idea if he watches Pretty Little Liars or counts it as one of his guilty pleasures, but I'm sure he respects her talents. If he didn't, the 23-year-old singer probably wouldn't have asked her to be in his video.
