Leslie Odom Jr.'s Wife Is An Actor, Too
Hamilton has been a huge part of pop culture even since its Broadway debut in August 2015, and I'm still a little salty that I haven't been able to see it yet. I don't feel too bad when I realize how difficult tickets are to score, and I can still admire from afar. Hamilton was nominated for a record-breaking 16 Tony Awards this year, and has catapulted many of its stars to superstardom beyond the Broadway stage. One of the shows lead actors, Leslie Odom, Jr., who plays Aaron Burr, is nominated for an acting Tony, and obviously, I wanted to learn a bit more about him. Aside from learning that he made a cameo on Gilmore Girls (what?!) he is married to a very pretty lady, so who is Leslie Odom, Jr.'s wife?
Odom's wife is named Nicolette Robinson. One of the most obvious things you can tell from their relationship on social media is that they are totally and completely and adorably in love. She is also an actor and singer herself, so here are some more facts about Robinson, who you'll likely see on the red carpet of the Tony Awards come Sunday, June 12.
She Is A Trained Theater Actress
Robinson graduated from the UCLA School of Theater, Film & Television in December 2009.
She Met Her Husband On The Stage, Naturally
According to a candid interview with Playbill, Odom was working as assistant director for Reprise Theater Company in Los Angeles when they met. Robinson was still at UCLA and had come in to audition for Once On This Island, and although she didn't get the part initially, she found her way into the production. Odom was assigned to catch Robinson up with the show, and well, a romance blossomed from there.
She Has Some Television Credits To Her Name
Her IMDb lists four episodes of Hart of Dixie, and she has since had a recurring role on award-winning Showtime series The Affair.
She's Been Married To Odom Since 2012
In an interview with Playbill in 2015, Odom confessed that the two had just celebrated their third year anniversary on December 1.
She Was Also In A Musical
In December 2015, Robinson debuted on the off-Broadway show Invisible Thread , in which she played the role of Eden. The musical follows the life of Griffin Matthews, based on the true story of his humanitarian trips to Uganda and his work to fund his Uganda Project.
She Has A Gorgeous Singing Voice
Ugh, just when you thought this couple couldn't get cuter, they sing together! And then, they post these videos on Instagram so everyone can swoon at the perfection.
These two are just so talented and sweet, I can barely handle it.
