He's Got Some Harsh Words For Juan Pablo
Juan Pablo Galavis has become the most controversial bachelor in Bachelor history, to say it as Chris Harrison would, and a former contestant agrees. Jef Holm called Juan Pablo the "sleaziest" bachelor ever. And Holm knows his stuff. He won season eight of The Bachelorette in 2012 and was previously engaged to bachelorette Emily Maynard.
In an interview with Us Weekly, Jef "One F" Holm said, "I think he's a very interesting, very interesting bachelor. He's just funny. I think he's by far the sleaziest bachelor that's been on the show. He basically just hooks up with the girls." Ain't that the truth. Galavis has made claims on the show that he should kiss less women or that he regrets (presumably) having ocean sex, but the entire season has basically been a Juan Pablo make out fest.
Holm went on to say, "I've had the chance to talk to a few of the girls from his season who have been at events and things, and I mean there are very few good things that have been said about him. I actually don't know of any good things that have been said about him." Hmm… It sounds like the women figured out Juan Pablo pretty quickly once they left the show.
Holm knows first hand that it's possible to go through the show's process without getting too scandalous. On his season, Maynard didn't take anyone to the fantasy suite and he told her, "There’s a time and a place for everything. And right now, it’s time for us to bridle these passions." Holm knows that using the ridiculous, yet intriguing, phrase "bridle these passions" is a lot more effective than shoving your tongue down everyone's throat only to have them find out about it when the show airs.
He didn't stop there, Holm went on to use the classic "not there for the right reasons" argument. "He doesn't seem likeable at all. It kind of seems like he's in it for fame. I know a lot of the guys from the show, and you can kind of tell the guys who are doing it for good reasons… who really want to find somebody. He likes the attention, he likes the fame, he likes the girls to kiss him and hang out, and I just think people read through it a lot."
Holm sums Juan Pablo up perfectly and he'll probably have a lot more thoughts after Tuesday's fantasy suite dates. Juan Pablo is sure not going to bridle any passions.
