These Characters Really Need To Hook Up On 'GoT'

Game of Thrones is a series that's well-known for featuring a lot of sex, violence, drinking, and other such extravagances. But Season 6 hasn't lived up to its name or done a proper job of showing us any good hook ups. Thankfully, there's still time and hope for the future of the series. I have high hopes that soon we'll see some of the more interesting romances come to fruition, or at the very least passionate make-out sessions. In fact, there are two characters that really need to hook up on Game of Thrones as far as I'm concerned, and that is Missandei and Grey Worm.

Sure, they will have to get creative, since Grey Worm is a eunuch. But sexual pleasure isn't just about penetration, and, if a couple loves each other and want to express that love physically, they can find a way to make it work. This season has been so full of violence that I feel that now is a good time for them to show me the love-making (but only in the most positive, consensual, and cathartically sexy ways, obviously). It will be good for all our souls after the everything we've had to put up with this season (Hodor, anyone?).

The Game of Thrones universe is hardly a place that you go to in order to find a healthy relationship, but I cannot help but 'ship the former slaves and current Targaryen advisors. If any couple hooks up this season, it should be these two. I'm so tired of the "Will they, won't they?"

Missandei and Grey Worm are one of the only pairings in the series that love each other and happen to both still be alive. Most of the time they spend together is either sitting quietly together, ruling together in Dany's place, or having serious talks. Though they are both quite aware that they have a love thing going on, neither acts upon it. It's been building up for so long, and it's time for it to come to fruition.

Their refusal to act on their love probably has to do with the whole eunuch issue. Meanwhile, Missandei, also a former slave, might not know how to ask for what she wants since no one has ever cared what she wanted. They've also both never been in an opportunity for romance before, so they might not even know what to do with themselves.

However, the Unsullied go to brothels for snuggles — though Grey Worm pretends that he doesn't need that kind of affection — so it's clear there still exists a need for some sort of physical affection. All of their other sweet moments — Missandei caring for Grey Worm when he's ill, the Common Tongue lessons, every time the Unsullied talks about how he is glad he met Missandei of Naath even though the path to her was terrible — prove that this couple should totally get together.

And yes, there are totally other ways for these two lovebirds to physically show their love to each other. They can get creative and have a make out session with heavy petting, or touch each other with feathers like in the movie 40 Days and 40 Nights. Hell, they could just spoon. Whatever way they want to express their love physical love, it would be a beautiful thing to see that in a world where sex is used as a weapon of fear. Perhaps once in a while, two people can define what sex means to them on a more personal level.

If Missandei and Grey Worm hook up, it will probably be the sweetest and most emotional, romantic scene of the series. I really, really hope we get to see it before the season is up, because those two could use a victory, and so could everyone watching Game of Thrones.
