When it comes to timeless fashion icons, Kate Moss is pretty much it, which is why I'm beyond stoked for Kate Moss x Equipment. Her style is a little bit of everything — part glam, part grunge, and a whole lot of sexiness — and it has transcended decades. You really can't think of a slip dress, an oversized pair of sunglasses or a fresh-faced photo spread without thinking of Kate Moss. Even as a 14-year-old model in the late '80s, Moss' look was one that people couldn't help but want to emulate, which is why you need to shop her latest collaboration.
Kate Moss x Equipment, which launched today, combines all elements of the supermodel's style. Equipment describes the capsule collection as "quintessential button downs in archived prints to styles synonymous with Kate's signature look: A little 90's, a little rock and roll, with a subtle nod to David Bowie." The collection marks the celebration of the brand's 40th anniversary.
Despite her status as a fashion icon, Moss keeps her collaborations to a minimum (though we can only imagine how many times she's approached) and her last notable collection was with Topshop in 2014. After two years, we can't wait to get more Moss-inspired pieces into our closets.
When asked how her love affair with Equipment began, she explained that she first discovered the brand when she began borrowing their men's shirts from her former husband, Jaime Hince, and says that working with the brand was a natural decision for her.
This collection marks the celebration of Equipment's 40th anniversary, and is available exclusively at Net-a-Porter and Equipment.fr (online and in store), where prices range from $80 for a star-print scarf to $600 for a classic black tuxedo blazer. There are leopard print pajamas, silver and gold lurex button downs, and of course, slip dresses.
Allison Loehnis, President of Net-A-Porter and Mr. Porter, told WWD that the collection is selling out quickly, so head over to Net-a-Porter now to pick out a Kate Moss approved piece for your wardrobe.
Londoners will be able to shop the collection in person at the Kate Moss for Equipment pop-up on 62 Blandford Street in London until June 9, and the collection will become available at more retailers after June 15.
