This 'PLL' Season 7 Plot Twist Sounds Chilling
It's no secret that the Liars have gotten themselves into their fair share of trouble, but typically their trouble starts and ends with A. The elusive villain (or, rather, villains) have framed the Liars for murder more than once, but while the Liars have never had blood on their hands before, they might be facing an entirely different set of circumstances when Pretty Little Liars returns for Season 7. Will the Liars kill someone in the Season 7 premiere? It certainly seems plausible. The new promo for Season 7 of PLL shows Spencer, Aria, and Emily burying something in the ground, and given showrunner I. Marlene King's clue that the Liars would "make their biggest mistake" in the final season, it seems very likely that the "thing" they are burying is a body. Now, the official description for the Season 7 premiere "Tick Tock, Bitches" hints at what could have gone down with that body — and it's not pretty.
Here's what the official description from Freeform says about the June 21 premiere:
After Hanna’s shocking abduction by “Uber A,” the PLLs and company desperately race against the clock to save one of their own. The only way to do this is by handing over evidence of Charlotte’s real murderer to “Uber A.” In order to do so, the girls must decide what blatant lines they are willing to cross that they have never breached before; and once they cross that line, there is no turning back.
Though this description is just a tease for what we'll be seeing on June 21, it does shed some light on what may go down in the Season 7 premiere. It seems that Uber A is well aware that Hanna didn't really kill Charlotte, and is instead using the Liars own trick against them. If the Liars can hand over evidence of who really killed Charlotte, then Hanna could potentially go free — but what if Uber A's plans for the real killer also punish the Liars? My theory is that the body that the Liars are seemingly burying in the premiere is the body of Charlotte's suspected killer, or, at the very least, the person that the Liars handed Uber A evidence against. Perhaps the Liars planned to set another person up as the killer in order to save Hanna, but their actions inadvertently lead to Uber A murdering the new suspect instead.
There are two ways that this could go. The Liars could set up someone that they perceive to be a threat, like Sara, or they could set up someone who is already "in" on the plan, like Mona or Toby. If Uber A believes that the person the Liars have evidence on is the real killer, the Liars might not be able to save them in time — hence King's spoiler about the Liars making their biggest mistake.
If that is the case, then the Liars technically do have blood on their hands — though they didn't plan to kill someone, they did hand that person over to Uber A. We'll have to wait until the premiere to see if this theory pans out, but until then, here's hoping that the Liars come up with a plan to finally get out from under A's thumb once and for all.
