At the 2014 NAACP Image Awards, Who Was Best Dressed?
In the run-up to this Sunday's Oscars, it’s hard to focus on anything else in the land of Hollywood. But with two major awards ceremonies taking place over the weekend — including the Costume Designers Guild Awards and the NAACP Image Awards — many stars were forced to not only show their faces in the midst of the most hectic part of awards season, but also show up on the red carpet looking absolutely stunning. At the NAACP Image Awards in particular, stars like Lupita Nyong’o and Kerry Washington shone brightly in their gorgeous gowns (no surprise there), but they weren’t the only celebrities who turned it out for the event. See all the stars who rocked the Image Awards red carpet.
Kerry Washington
As adventurous as some of her red-carpet maternity looks may have been over the last several months, there’s no denying that she nailed her style at the Image Awards in a luxe blue and peach Thakoon gown. Complete with the most beautiful fishtail braid we’ve ever seen, this Scandal star is one hot mom-to-be.
Bellamy Young
In her David Meister ensemble, the Scandal actress proves that sometimes all it takes to stun on the red carpet is a simple strapless gown in a red-hot hue.
Brandy Norwood
We haven’t seen much of the singer on the red carpet lately, but her curve-hugging, lace Jean Fares Couture number has us wishing she would come out to play a lot more often.
Sherri Shepherd
The View co-host had a lot to show off in her metallic gold gown, from her toned and trimmed-down figure to her ample cleavage and big, bright smile.
Katie Lowes
Showing up in a black Halston Heritage gown, the Scandal star shows that there’s no way to go wrong in a voluminous skirt and bold red lip.
Naomie Harris
Redeeming herself from that boring red dress at the BAFTAs, the actress positively shimmered in her plunging gold Valentino gown.
Nicole Beharie
The Sleepy Hollow actress may have taken a risk with cutouts in both the front and back of her dress, but she pulled it off brilliantly by sticking with a simple black hue and natural makeup.
