Makeup artist Matthew VanLeeuwen expertly demonstrated how you can achieve a way more natural looking contour using Keke Palmer as his canvas. Not only was her latex dress a stunner at the BBMAs, but her radiant makeup look was, too. VanLeeuwen achieved the look using all e.l.f. Cosmetics, so you’ll definitely be able to recreate this look for yourself and quite affordably, at that!

OK, so here’s how it's done. “For foundation I used two shades of e.l.f. HD Mattifying Cream Foundation, one exactly Keke's shade and the other slightly deeper to deepen temples, cheekbones, and jawline. This creates a more powerful dimension to the skin, especially when on the red carpet,” he said in a press release. So, the key is finding a foundation shade darker than your skin tone to showcase your strongest features.

Her skin is just glowing.

And as you can see, this slightly contoured look isn't over the top, in keeping with the latest "less is more" motto.
