When it comes to masturbating, there's no limit to where we seek inspiration. But the ubiquity of celebrity sex tapes, it's not surprising that some people fantasize about celebrities when masturbating. In fact, couples vibrator brand We-Vibe surveyed over 1,000 people across the U.S. in their second annual masturbation report and found exactly how many people use celebrities to get off. Honestly, it's not really something I've ever done, but I can see how it could be fun. I mean, beautiful people that you can imagine in any of a range of roles they've played? They're desired by millions and now you can imagine them having sex with you?
I'm not really sure who I would think of and am happy to these We-Vibe's survey findings for inspiration— if only for when the Internet is too slow for porn to buffer. (WHY GOD WHY!?) Using your imagination is so important, and this is definitely one of the most fun ways out there to get off.
So here's how many people are masturbating to celebrities and who they're thinking about, because imagination don't cost a thing. But first, check out our video on sex positions to last longer in bed:
1. 1/3 Men Like Celebrities For Masturbation Inspiration
A third of men are thinking of the rich and famous when they have solo time. Which seems high, because I'm like... have you seen porn? But whatever makes you happy, guys.
2. J. Lo Was The Most Popular Among Men
That's right. They're not fooled by the rocks that she got. Jennifer Lopez was the most popular woman and Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Lawrence, Jessica Alba, Emma Watson, and Kim Kardashian were also on the list. If Jennifer Lawrence falling over doesn't get you off, I don't know what will. But seriously, just thinking about that list is getting me a little turned on.
3. 1/5 Women Are Imagining Hollywood Hotties
Not as many as men, but a full 19 percent of women were still being inspired by the Hollywood sign when it comes to alone time.
4. And Channing Tatum Is Top Of Their List
Mr. Magic Mike came in at number one, followed by Ryan Gosling, Adam Levine, Johnny Depp, and Justin Timberlake. Which are cool, if you like, you know, attractive actors with a lot of talent or something. If that's your thing.
5. More Singles Like Getting Off To Celebs
Turns out, those in a relationship may have loyalties even in their fantasies. While 36 percent of singles said that they thought of celebrities, only 23 percent of those who are coupled up did the same. Your bae's got your back.
