Oh the 90s, a wonderfully strange time where butterfly clips and platform sneakers ruled all. While most of us are able to repress the memories of this slightly embarrassing phase of our lives dominated by gel-scrunched hairstyles and metallic blue eyeshadow (what were we thinking?!), celebrities often don't have the same luxury. A photo of Zac Efron with crimped hair from the 90s has recently made its way onto the internet, and it has obviously gone viral, because it's pure freaking gold. You have to see it to believe it.

The 28-year-old made an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday, not knowing he was in for a blast from the past. Notorious funny man Fallon, of course, seized the opportunity for some late night laughs, resurrecting Efron's 8th grade, crimped hair photo. The actor recalled a middle school memory during summer arts camp, explaining, "It was just me and a bunch of a lot older girls and they crimped my hair and I thought I was awesome..." But wait, it gets better. Fallon then pulled out matching wigs with fully crimped hair which the two then proceeded to wear for the rest of the show.

Are you for Zac with crimped hair? Brace yourselves.
