What Time Are the Closing Ceremonies on Sunday?

by Anna Klassen

Parting is such sweet sorrow. As the 2014 Sochi Olympics come to a close, all eyes will be on the closing night ceremonies Sunday night. But what time will the final awards be given and farewells be said? The conclusion will take place on February 23 at 20:14 local time. Get it, 2-0-1-4? Clever, Sochi, so clever. The games will air live on CBC starting at 11 a.m. EST, then replayed live at 7 pm EST. However, if you're waiting for an NBC stream, the closing ceremony won't air until 8:30 p.m. EST. But how about on the West Coast? The Olympics closing ceremonies will air at 8:30 p.m. PST on Sunday night.

And in case you missed some of the ceremonies over the past few weeks, NBC will air an Olympic review show starting at 4 p.m. PST on Sunday. Over the past few weeks, the United States has taken home a healthy number of medals, while Russia, the Netherlands and Norway are also fighting for a record number of gold, silver, and bronze medals. Who will come out victorious in the final matches? Tune in all weekend for the final winter-y battle royales, and don't miss Sunday's closing ceremony — after all, we have to wait another two years to see the most talented athletes in the world compete again.
