She told us this was coming! Kat Von D's Lock-It Foundation is changing, but Kat Von D-evotees need to relax. It's not what you think. I need to reiterate that the brand and its namesake have promised that the beloved formula of this popular product is not being tinkered with. The formulation will remain exactly the same and "as is." OK? So what is changing about this creamy, full coverage face product? Just the packaging, which Von D revealed on her personal Instagram. She teased the Lock-It change a few months ago and now we have an even better look of the new canister.
The new container certainly has that gothic and artsy look, with black enhancements. So, yes, it has the KvD signature style. But the tattoo-like black roses have been replaced by a long drop of a dripping liquid. It does remind me a bit of the Kylie Lip Kits and the Kylie Cosmetics' graphic, which boasts a grill and drenched, dripping lips, but with Kat Von D's signature vibe.
Observe the new Kat Von D Lock-It packaging, along with the promise that what's inside isn't being revamped or messed with. The tattoo artist and entrepreneur also once again confirmed that 13 new shades will be introduced in the fall. The addition of 13 hues is more than a change; it's a maj expansion.

Von D also revealed her new Lock-It Concealer Creme with similar packaging. That big ol' drop is so cool, isn't it? There will be 20 shades of this "bulletproof" baby, including a white one.
