Gucci RTW Fall 2014 Gives Us Youthful, 1960s Minimalism
Hello, Milan. Gucci kicked off Milan Fashion Week with a gorgeous showing of soft pastels, statement outerwear, knee-high boots, and heavy Twiggy lashes. The buoyantly youthful looks were a massive departure from last season's dark, skin-soaked show. Citing a "boyish romanticism" as the overarching theme, Gucci's creative director Frida Giannini color-coordinated everything from boots to bags, paired tuxedo shirts with A-line leather skirts, and topped it all off with dorky eyewear, as though the '60s girl of 2014 had just started her first job in the big city.
