Although sequels can often be unimaginative, fans should be getting excited for 22 Jump Street, because it will bring more bro-banter between two of Hollywood's hottest men of the moment, Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill. And if the new 22 Jump Street trailer is anything to go by, this movie will be every bit as action-packed and comedic as the last one. Not only will we get to see Channing Tatum flexing his muscles... I mean, taking down bad guys, we'll also get to see the boys go to college, which probably means their adventures are likely to be even more debauched than in the first movie. Cue the drug busts, chugging and, from the looks of it, incredibly violent football. The bond between Schmidt and Jenko can only grow more emotional and drunken from here on in.
Although the idea of more Jonah Hill in my life and in front of my eyeballs is not terribly exciting (his drugged up turn in Wolf of Wall Street was quite enough), Channing Tatum is remarkably good at playing parts in comedy-action movies, so this is sure to be as fun a movie as the last, and every bit as pleasantly mindless.
Besides, we know for sure from the trailer that Hill is going to get taken down hard by a football player, and we've heard that Dave Franco will make a cameo, so get ready for the movie that is sure to make you feel super lame about all of your vanilla college experiences. It's not formal education until Channing Tatum busts into your party with an Uzi, amirite?
