Are Tower Of Joy Answers Coming On 'GoT'?

by Kelly Schremph

Just when you think that Game of Thrones is going to reveal the big Tower of Joy secret, the writers pull the rug out from underneath us and take it all away. I don't know about the rest of you, but I was beyond excited to see the great battle between a young Ned Stark and Arthur Dayne because it meant that maybe, just maybe, we'd finally get confirmation about the theory surrounding Ned Stark's sister, Lyanna, regarding Jon Snow's questionable parentage. But alas, the Three-Eyed Raven had other plans in mind and pulled Bran out of the vision before Ned could finally see what was inside that tower. But surely this is something that the writers will eventually come back to this season... right?

Guy, I'm not going to lie. I'm worried. Very worried that this could be the only piece of that particular backstory that we'll get throughout the remainder of this season. I mean, just think of how long we've had to wait to get even the tiniest mentions of Lyanna Stark and slowly piece these clues together. So having them serve up a complete flashback on a silver platter was probably too good to be true. But, is that the only glimpse of the Tower of Joy we'll get for a while? I'm scared that the answer to that is a resound yes.

If you obsessively watched the trailers and promos ahead of the Season 6 premiere like I did, then you probably noticed that every shot of the Tower of Joy was from this particular episode, meaning that we now have zero evidence that this scene will be revisited in the near future. For all we know, the Raven guy won't let Bran return to this moment until next season. (*insert temper tantrum here*)

Granted, I hope beyond hope that this isn't the case. But, given that Game of Thrones loves torturing its fans, I'd say it's not out of the realm of possibility. The night is dark and potentially fully of waiting...
