Kim Kardashian Might Be Blonde Again

If there's one thing you can never be sure of when it comes to the Kardashians, it's their hair color. Is Kylie Jenner wearing a wig? Is Kim Kardashian blonde again? Can Khloé Kardashian decide whether or not she has a bob? Who even knows anymore? But it's fun to track the progress of the five sisters' hair over social media nonetheless, and seeing as Kim K seems to be adoring Snapchat these days, it's no shock that the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star would debut a new hair color — or wig — on the image sharing platform.

As Cosmopolitan reported, new selfies featuring Kim Kardashian with blonde hair, shared early on May 8, show the reality TV star with a slicked-back, almost ashy-toned mane — a far cry from the bleach blonde she debuted at Paris Fashion Week in 2015. But what's also apparent in the snaps is that Kardashian seems to be at a photoshoot: Something we can deduce both from a sleeping Kanye West video, and the team of makeup artists and hair stylists around her.

Personally, this kind of makes me doubt the authenticity of the hair color on Kim K, especially given she and her sister Kylie Jenner's penchant for rocking wigs. Maybe the dye job is real, of course. But it could be a sneaky look for a photoshoot. For all we know, the new 'do will go the way of her blonde Met Gala eyebrows — gone before we know it.

On further examination, the wet-look hair and dark edges make me lean toward believing this is an actual dyed blonde look, especially since Kardashian hasn't drastically changed up her natural hair color for a long time. That said, this is coming from a girl who didn't realize you could have a French braid wig — á la Kylie Jenner's rainbow Coachella braids — so don't take my word for it.

You can, however, take Kardashian's stylist's word for it. As Refinery29 reported, "A wig could be responsible for this huge change. Her stylist César DeLeön Ramirêz's phrase 'in my custom made unit' certainly makes it sound that way," referring to a video he uploaded to Instagram on May 8.

Guessing is all part of the fun, of course, especially when it comes to Kardashians and their style. Whether or not the new look is real, I think Kim K rocks blonde strands impeccably, and I hope they're here to stay.
