Johnny Weir & Tara Lipinski Make Quite The Pair
When it comes to derby style, nobody does it quite like these two. Not only are they fashionable attendants to the event, they're also hosts, making them up-to-date on all things derby-related. Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski look incredible on the 2016 Kentucky Derby red carpet because they’re well-versed on dressing for this occasion.
This certainly isn’t their first rodeo, err I mean horse race, together, and they just keep getting better and better. Practice makes perfect after all. Not that these Olympic skaters wouldn’t know a thing or two about that!
This year, Lipinski and Weir both wore white, but their looks were anything but simple. Lipinski added flair to her outfit with red floral accents on her dress and a red hat. Weir went all out with a full-on pony theme and wore a little racing horse brooch and a literal pony tail hat. They were a couple of stylish prancing ponies, and Lipinski’s more demur style was the perfect way to complement Weir’s over-the-top look. There’s a certain balance required for pulling something like this off, and this pair just gets it.
These two go together, well, like mint juleps and the Kentucky Derby, and if you don’t believe me, just take a look at their incredible derby day fashion over the past few years.
Lipinksi looks so chic.
Weir is making quite the statement in his themed ensemble.
Some things are just better together.
They've even got the posing down.
Gold, roses, and fancy hair. They're bringing such elegance to this event.
Pastels and feathers are the perfect pairing.
I'm already looking forward to what they'll wear next year!
