Brits In Black at the 2014 'ELLE' Style Awards
British fashion is having a big week, what with London Fashion Week, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards, and now ELLE magazine's 2014 Style Awards in London. Recognizing everyone from actors and musicians to models and fashion designers who have made a fashion name for themselves, the awards event continues to bring out some of fashion's greatest year after year. Tuesday's event was no exception, and while there were plenty of stars who rocked the red carpet — including Rita Ora in an all-white Marchesa number — it was the Brits in black who really stole the show. Click through to see which celebrities made their mark in black ensembles at the 2014 ELLE Style Awards.
Cara Delevingne
With side-swept hair and a super-low-cut, draped gown, the model’s self-designed Mulberry bag wasn’t the only thing she showed off at the awards show.
Lily Allen
Making a comeback from her tri-color Vivienne Westwood gown at the BAFTAs, the singer — who was named the U.K. Recording Artist Female of the year at the awards show — looked delightfully dark in her v-neck Roland Mouret gown.
Suki Waterhouse
Recycling the same Burberry jacket both she and Delevingne both sported recently, the English beauty and ELLE Model of the Year slipped on a simple black gown underneath for a casually glam style.
Ellie Goulding
Kicking the fancy dresses aside, the “Anything Could Happen” singer opted for a satiny black Matthew Williamson jumpsuit complete with sheer side panels and a plunging neckline.
Amber Le Bon
When all else fails, short, black, and sparkly do the trick, as the English model proved at the Style Awards with her revealing Warehouse dress.
Kylie Minogue
In a look similar to Watson’s big bow skirt, the British pop star ruled the red carpet in a simple black mini dress and beautiful blonde locks.
Chelsea Leyland
With a body like that, it’s hard not to want to show it off, which the model and DJ did with her low-cut, cut-out Cushnie et Ochs dress.
Samantha Barks
The English actress put all the boys to shame in her polished, monochromatic take on the men’s suit.
Georgina Chapman
She may have thrown a little color into the mix, but the Marchesa designer glowed in her black and floral off-the-shoulder gown.
