How To Get Gaga's Hair Straight From Her Stylist
Was Lady Gaga's Met Gala hair last night awesome or what? To get the look for yourself, I have tips from Lady Gaga's stylist directly. He dished exclusively on his inspiration for Gaga's looks through the years, and broke down details on achieving last night's vava-voom metal vibe.
For those who don't know, Gaga has been working with hair stylist Frederic Aspiras for eight whole years. Considering how many hair changes Gaga has gone through over the years, it's safe to say Aspiras is one freaking creative fellow.
On his favorite Gaga looks through the years, Aspiras tells me, "There are SO many looks that we've done, but the three most memorable right now would be the Fiber optic wig, the white hand painted dreads, and the the yellow hair for the Monster Ball." I knew I wasn't the only one obsessed with her epic dreads!
As for where he draws inspiration in general, Aspiras explains, "I turn to books and old films, some old fashion editorial spreads, and women in my life." Given how intense his looks for Gaga are, Aspiras must know some damn incredible women.
His latest creation was Gaga's 2016 Met Gala look, which featured a lifted pouf, exposed grunge roots, and mad gorgeous waves tumbling down the star's shoulders. He shares, "For [the Met] look, we thought it would complement the outfit if we fused the past with the future. It turn out to be a futuristic metal pop princess GAGA."
To channel all the metal princess vibes that Gaga rocked last night, follow Aspiras' step-by-step guide below:
1. Prime Hair
"Start first by shampooing with Matrix Total Results Rock It Texture Shampoo followed by the Matrix Total Results Rock It Texture Conditioner. This will prime hair for all the texture in the end result."
2. Detangle
"Next, towel dry well and spray Matrix Total Results Moisture Cure to comb out and detangle hair. Right after, apply mousse throughout hair and section for blow drying."
3. Lift Roots
"Starting at the nape of the hair, apply Matrix Total Results Wonder Boost Root Lifter to the roots of the hair."

4. Curl And Add Texture
"Next, use a curling iron to create a few loose waves throughout the hair. Spritz some Matrix Style Link Mineral Mess Maker Sea Salt Spray for added texture." He adds, "Tousle and twist as you spray!"
5. Lock It Down
"Finish with Matrix Total Results High Amplify Hair Spray to hold the height and for lasting style that is soft and touchable."
This may not be a practical 'do for every day, but it's definitely one worthy of being your next night-on-the-town look!
