May 25. That's the date that Beauty Killer, Jeffree Star Cosmetics' first-ever eyeshadow palette, goes on sale. The brand is largely known for its often sold out Velour Liquid Lipsticks, which are pigment-drenched mattes in both neutral and daring shades. It was only a matter of time before it further expanded with a palette, as well as with the be-here-before-you-know-it Skin Frost highlighters and the limited edition Velours. May is shaping up to be explosive for the vegan and cruelty-free JSC. Beauty Killer will include 10 high-pigment shades in a slim, hot pink case. But what colors are actually included? Well, JSC has not shared swatches... until now. The brand posted a black and white shot of the swatches in grand tease fashion. So, when will we see the actual eyeshadow shades in the Beauty Killer collection?
Soon, JSC devotees, soon! The black and white swatch post included a caption that confirmed Saturday, May 7 is the big day. Apparently, Jeffree Star himself will share swatches via social media. The post only references "channel," so that means Jeffree Star's YouTube and/or Snapchat. Brand founder and namesake Star is super active on both of those socials.
Surveil the swatches below.
OK, I just caught my breath. I spy both matte and shimmer textures. Obviously, some shades are dark and others are light, which means you have tools to create a smoky eye, regardless of the actual hue. OMG, this is insane. I want to see more. Fans expressed the same sort of excitement and anticipation in the comments on the post.
Peep the outer packaging once more.
Jeffree Star fans are certainly excited about May 25.
This fan is as eager to see the actual colors as we are.
This is how you build excitement and a devoted makeup army.
To pledge a purchase, sight unseen, is a huge indicator of fan passion. Makeup is about the visual and the artistry. So for a customer to be willing to part ways with cash without even seeing the actual products means that JSC has built loyalty and trust with its on trend, quality products.
This is too cute and it's also indicative of why JSC is able to continue its expansion. It has built a dedicated following with its edgy offerings.
