London Fashion Week Fall 2014 Runway Beauty Gets A Little Weird
Fashion Week is about aesthetics. Fanfare, media, and celebrities aside, we all just really love the runways because they gives us the chance to look at pretty things over and over again. After the subtle, wearable looks of New York Fashion Week, London Fashion Week has brought hair and makeup to the runway that isn't exactly, well, quintessentially pretty. It's a little different (and sometimes scarier) than what we're used to, but, hey, that's Fashion Week.

Dirty Hair at Christopher Kane Fall 2014
While I’m not entirely sure whether the model’s hair is supposed to be dirty, wet, or a combination of the two, it certainly isn’t the hairstyle you would expect to pair with a designer outfit.
Pink Eye Shadow at Jonathan Saunders Fall 2014
In theory, pink eye shadow and nothing else sounds soft and feminine. Sure to be pretty, right? Wrong. Saunders’ models looked a little sickly and a lot scary, but oddly the simple (and haunting) makeup worked with his bold, bulky collection.
Matted Hair at Issa Fall 2014
Annnnd we’re back to weird hair. I’m pretty sure this was my exact hairstyle for the three months in 4th grade when I didn’t like to shower. If only someone would have let me in on the fashion potential…
Shiny Heads at Peter Pilotto Fall 2014
I don’t know about you, but I have never left the house telling myself, “You know what would make this outfit look even better? If I slicked down my hair with this entire tub of hair gel.” However, Peter Pilotto’s collection left me wondering if I should.
Orange Eye Shadow at Lucas Nascimento Fall 2014
Nasciemento’s models channeled a sort of bold simplicity for the runway show, sporting wild hair on one side, and slicked back on the other to reveal bright orange eye makeup. Eye party on one side, hair party on the other.
Braids at Min Wu Fall 2014
The models from Min Wu’s collection, who single-handedly sported one of the, um, most intricate hairstyles of LFW so far. Somewhere, Miley Cyrus is proud. Maybe.
