Jessica Simpson Isn't At The WHCD

by Caitlin Flynn

The White House Correspondents' Dinner guest list is diverse, and it's hard to keep track of which celebs will be making an appearance. Dallas Cowboys quarterback (who is better known to us non-football fans as Jessica Simpson's ex-boyfriend), Tony Romo is in attendance as a guest of FOX News along with a date, his wife Candance Crawford. Since they had a contentious breakup and the festivities certainly can't be drama free (right?), is Romo's ex-partner Jessica Simpson at The White House Correspondents' Dinner?

She's absent from the 2016 festivities, so we won't see any awkward moments between the two. As you may remember, Simpson and Romo both attended the White House Correspondents' Dinner in 2014 (five years after their breakup) and it was all sorts of awkward. Although there wasn't any drama, they seemingly made an effort to avoid interacting with one another. Sure, there are 2,600 at the dinner and you're not going to talk with everyone, but as Yahoo reported, they didn't make an effort to say hello, which indicates that their split wasn't necessarily amicable.

So, what's Simpson doing instead? Well, she may not be in D.C., but that doesn't mean she doesn't have politics top of mind. In fact, it looks like she's officially endorsed someone for president:

Do Clinton, Cruz, Sanders, and Trump know that they're competing with Willie Nelson? Someone may want to alert them STAT.
