Grab your wellies and your memeproof umbrella, because there will be a torrential “It’s Gonna Be Me”/“It’s Gonna Be May” joke downpour this weekend. Yes, It's Gonna Be May Day is almost here. Once a year, near the tail end of the month of April, a meme inspired by *NSYNC song "It's Gonna Be Me" floods our Facebook feeds and Instagram feeds and Twitter feeds and Tumblr feeds. What a beautiful tradition, indeed! Just how beautiful, you ask? For starters, it inspired me to pen some "It's Gonna Be May"/"It's Gonna Be Me" parody lyrics. So, uh, there's that.

I am a denizen of the webosphere (barf, did I really just type those words?) (yep, yep I did) who cannot resist a good meme. I also love a corny song lyric rewrite. Oh, and I also love “It’s Gonna Be Me” by *NSYNC. So, I put those three things together and and came up with “It’s Gonna Be May: An Ode To My Seasonal Allergies.” Here we gooooooo!
