Matt Damon Strikes Back With Butt Xerox
There has been quite a lot going on recently when it comes to the ongoing teasing of Matt Damon by Jimmy Kimmel. The latest development is that Matt Damon has faxed a photocopy of his butt to Kimmel and Ben Affleck. If you're confused about how this could happen — how a civilized man, nay, Oscar winner could end up sending a butt Xerox — let me explain.
It all started when Damon and Affleck decided to auction themselves off for a double-date using the website Omaze.com. Anyone who makes a $10 donation to Damon and Affleck's charities of choice, is eligible to be randomly chosen for a date with the two in Hollywood. After the contest was set up on Omaze, Jimmy Kimmel, who has been making fun of Damon in a running joke that has lasted several years now, posted a link to the website. Affleck tweeted a thank you Kimmel and the charities, Water.org and Eastern Congo Initiative saying, "I thank you buddy. And @easterncongo & @water thank you. Matt on the other hand? Matt you there? Right. We will fax you," referring to the fact that Damon doesn't have a Twitter. Kimmel responded, "Matt is prob too scared to get on twitter because no one likes him."
Got that? Now for the butt part.
On Friday, Damon made his response to the joke by faxing a photo of his butt to Kimmel and Affleck. The fax is on official company letterhead from Damon and Affleck's Pearl Street Films and reads, "Dear Ben & Jimmy, Here's my fax. Love, MD." Kimmel posted the fax to Twitter for the world to see saying, .@BenAffleck - did you see what your "friend" Matt faxed to us? NSFW."
There is no way this is the last of the Kimmel making fun of Damon because that joke will literally never end. If you do happen to win the date, it does make for some good talking points. "Do Jimmy's jokes really hurt your feelings?" "Ben, do you comfort Matt after the insults?" And most importantly, "Matt, that was really your butt, right?"
