Hey, listen. Life is a grab bag. Sometimes you go all year thinking you're being good and end up with a lump of coal, and sometimes Christmas comes early and Drake announces a "Summer Sixteen" tour with 32 dates across numerous cities. To be clear, we're talking about the latter in this case. On Apr. 25, Drake made all our wildest dreams come true by releasing a whole heap of concert locations for Summer 2016 in support of his single "Summer Sixteen" (hence the name). He'll also be collaborating with Future, because one game-changing rapper on this tour just wouldn't be enough, y'know?
The tour hits all the hot spots, from Chicago to New York to Houston to Los Angeles to everywhere in between. Although I'll try not to read too much into the fact that they're skipping my hometown of Portland, Oregon. It stings, but I get it. Maybe next summer. If you're interested in attending, tickets for this extravaganza go on sale Friday, Apr. 29, so feel free to scoop up just as many as your little heart desires, and write in the comment section of each one, "Hey Views From the 6 is still coming too, right?" (There's a comment section for concert ticket purchases, right? Please don't ruin this for me.)
In the meantime, while you're waiting for ticket sales to open, I've included the full list of tour dates below, so you can scope out whether your city is one of the lucky ones.
With Beyoncé, Dolly Parton, and Adele all going on tour, and now Drake throwing his hat in the ring as well, it's shaping up to be an incredible summer for music, even if it is pretty stressful on my wallet.
