Beyonce's Lemonade is the tour-de-force everyone thought it might be and more. The HBO special premiered new music from Bey, new videos with incredible visuals, and so much more. During the segment titled "Emptiness," Lemonade revealed a Beyonce and The Weeknd song collaboration. And just as you'd expect, these two mega-artists made beautiful music together. I didn't spy The Weeknd (aka Abęl Tesfaye) in the flesh, but I definitely heard his unmistakable voice during the Lemonade song, which is called "6 Inch" and is currently available on Tidal. The accompanying visuals to the song include Bey in a car and walking in a hallway that's literally on fire.
There hasn't been any confirmation or comment from The Weeknd about the track via Twitter or anywhere else, but come on, I think we'd all know his incredible voice anywhere. Once The Weeknd's voice made an appearance on the track, Twitter caught fire as well with fans who love the fact that two of the biggest musicians alive today collaborated on one of the most mysterious pop culture events of the year. Lemonade was full of surprises; it was a treat for the eyes and ears.
This isn't the first time The Weeknd and Beyonce have collaborated — well, sort of. Last year, The Weeknd made headlines when he performed as incredible cover of Bey's "Drunk in Love" at Lollapalooza. Beyonce and The Weeknd also performed at Jay-Z's Made in America festival last year.
Now, this dynamic duo have collaborated on one hot track that I will definitely play on repeat in the days to come. I mean, it's basically the collab that pop culture dreams are made of.
