A Cure For Bonnie Could Be In Sight On 'TVD'

by Kelly Schremph

Has anyone had a rougher time on The Vampire Diaries more so than Bonnie Bennett? The answer to that question is simple: No. No, they haven't. I mean, this girl has died more times than I can count and if things keep going the way they are, that number is going to continue to climb. For those of you who need a quick refresher: Bonnie is dying on The Vampire Diaries , thanks to the anti-magic pills she's been taking that are laced with Rayna's poisonous blood. (This is why you should always read that side effects label, kids.) However, Damon and Enzo may have discovered a way to save Bonnie's life. They want to transfer Rayna's link to the everlasting over to Bonnie thereby making her immune from death. But it kinda makes you wonder... does this mean that Bonnie will become the new Huntress?

Let's say that this plan actually works and they manage to kill off enough of the Phoenix Stone vamps for Rayna to agree to do this transfer thing, doesn't that mean that Bonnie would then possess the same drive to hunt vampires? It would make sense, given that's why Rayna was given the power of immortality to begin with. All magic comes with a price, and I'm not sure our favorite Mystic Falls gang has fully thought this plan through. Because while it definitely beats watching Bonnie meet her maker (yet again), I hate the thought of her being on the opposing side of all of her friends.

Look, I'm not saying that this is definitely how things will play out. But odds are that if Bonnie takes on one aspect of Rayna's characteristics, then other qualities are sure to follow eventually. Saving Bonnie's life could come with a very big consequence — like a villainous Bonnie, for instance. Could this be a foreshadowing of Season 8's storyline? We'll find out soon enough.
