Remember how Kendra's Wild West self basically informed her that her relationship with Ray was doomed to fail? Well, apparently she's not going to let a little creepy foreshadowing like that stop her from being with the man she loves. Right after Ray's near-death experience thanks to The Pilgrim, he ended up inadvertently proposing to her and she said yes. That's right, folks — Kendra and Ray are engaged on Legends of Tomorrow , so it's time to start planning a legend-ary wedding. (Get it?) I'm thinking a time-traveling theme would suit this duo very well.
Granted, the engagement kinda got off to a rocky start. First of all, near-death experiences are never the most romantic of times to pop the question. But even after the stress of all that settled down, Kendra was worried that she'd rushed into the decision too easily. It's not that she doesn't love Ray, she just really let the words of her former self get into her head, causing her to believe that she and Ray simply couldn't have a future together.
In the end, though, her love for Ray made her realize just how silly it is to base her future on something that may or may not happen. There are always exceptions to the rule, so who's to say that their love can't overcome the odds. She's at least willing to give it a try if it means she gets to spend the rest of her life with Ray. Will it work out? Right now your guess is as good as mine, but I'm glad she's not letting some phantom of the past ruin what could be a truly great love story.
Maybe she is destined to be with Carter. Maybe fate will somehow intervene. But that doesn't mean they can't enough the good times while they last.
