Earlier this week, Utah Governor Gary Herbert declared porn a “public health crisis.” Herbert signed a resolution proclaiming this is the "full-fledged truth," and while he and his political cohorts say they won’t be banning porn, they do want to make sure the great citizens of Utah are aware of just how harmful porn is. So, in response to this, Pornhub decided to share some Utah porn stats about who's viewing what, how long they're viewing it, and how many of these people are doing all this viewing. Something tells me Herbert might find himself blushing after getting a load of this.
What Pornhub found is that Utah ranks 34th in the United States in regards to traffic that Pornhub gets from them. Being 34 out of 50 hardly constitutes a “public health crisis,” in my opinion, but as a somewhat avid porn-watcher, what the hell do I know? According to Pornhub, Utah’s 34th rank matches the rank of their population size based on the most recent U.S. census, and in 2015 Pornhub recorded 16 visits per capita from people living in Utah. If you’re like me and never got a hang of the whole per capita thing, let me break it down for you: People in Utah are watching porn and loving it.
And that’s just the beginning! Here the results of Pornhub’s very extensive analysis into the porn viewers of Utah. But first, check out our video on sex positions for small penises:
1. Utah’s Porn Viewing Average Is A Little Below The U.S. Average
According to Pornhub, the average Utah resident watches porn for nine minutes and 15 seconds every time they log on to Pornhub. This is 36 seconds less then at the U.S. average.
2. The Majority Of Pornhub Viewers In Utah Are Under 35
In Utah, it’s the Millennial generation who's watching porn the most, with 60 percent of all viewers from Utah being under 35. The study also found that this is actually higher than the national average of 58 percent.
3. Women In Utah Watch Porn Too
Although this might be shocking, but women are watching porn in Utah. In fact, women make up 19 percent of porn viewers in the state, which is just four percent less than the national average.
4. Lesbian Porn Is Utah’s Porn Of Choice
According to the study, the word “lesbian” is the most searched term in Utah, as well as the category that gets the most traffic. In this regard, they’re not all that different from the rest of the United States, where “lesbian” remains a top search term for most of the country.
5. People In Utah Are Also Big Fans Of 'Anal' And ‘Big Tits’
When it comes to the top five most viewed porn categories in Utah, “Hentai” comes in second place right after “lesbian.” Rounding out that top five, in descending order, are “MILF,” “anal,” and “big tits.”
6. Porn Watchers In Utah Are More Into Cosplay Porn Than The Rest Of The Country
When it comes to porn searches in Utah compared to other states, that's where things get really interesting. In Utah “cosplay” is searched 116 percent more than any other state. "First time anal,” at 74 percent more and “step sister” at 63 percent more. Although, to be fair, “step sister” is a popular search term in the U.S. At 50 percent more than any other state is the search term “Mormon,” which makes sense in Utah and, surprisingly, mormon porn is big business.
7. People In Utah Search ‘Gym’ And ‘Yoga’ More Than The Rest Of Americans
Another interesting tidbit is that those in Utah want their porn full of active people. At 57 percent and 54 percent, “yoga” and “gym,” respectively, are searched more in Utah than any other state.
8. Utah Prefers Boobs To Butts
And because you’ve always wanted to know how people in Utah will vote when it comes down to boobs versus butts, they’re boob people. While the majority of the U.S. loves butts, Utah is a boob state, along with surrounding states like Idaho and Arizona.
