Whatever Memorial Day weekend plans you had need to be cancelled ASAP, because the Disney Channel is airing a Disney Channel Original Movie marathon from Friday, May 27 to Monday, May 30 with even more movies airing through June. Please do not forget to breathe. The marathon is going old school to air all your childhood favorites from Halloweentown to the Zenon trilogy. This is all in celebration of the Disney Channel's 100th original movie, Adventures in Babysitting starring Girl Meets World's Sabrina Carpenter (so you know it is going to rock). The only downside to the marathon? You can't watch every movie unless you give up sleep for four days straight, which I do not recommend no matter your nostalgia level.
Luckily, the Disney Channel will be offering all the movies on demand and on their official app throughout the summer, but for now let's focus on the marathon. I have picked 14 must see Disney Channel Original Movies that you should make it your mission in life not to miss. These movies were your childhood and you are going to get to watch them on your couch while drinking Capri Suns and eating Fruit Roll-Ups again if you want to.
You are going to want to revisit all your favorites eventually, but here is your guide to 14 must see Memorial Day DCOM marathon movies.
1. Halloweentown
Halloween in May? Yes, thank you, more please. Marnie's journey into Halloweentown is not only ridiculously fun, it is also a holiday DCOM, aka the best kind of DCOM. End your marathon by reminding yourself how awesome Kimberly J. Brown is, and I promise your weekend will be end on the perfect note.
Watch It: Monday, May 30 at 11:30 a.m. ET/PT
2. Zenon: Girl Of The 21st Century
Adorableness, thy name is Zenon. Not only did this movie teach you amazing space slang, it also co-starred the fabulous Raven-Symoné. It's so early '00s you will weep from happiness, guys.
Watch It: Monday, May 30 at 1:05 p.m. ET/PT
3. The Cheetah Girls
This time Raven-Symoné takes center stage in a movie about an all-girl group. There's singing, there are over the top outfits, there is enough girl power to make the Spice Girls proud — this is happiness in movie form.
Watch It: Monday, May 31 at 1:50 a.m. ET/PT
4. The Even Stevens Movie
It has been way too long since you watched any Even Stevens. The show was peak Shia LaBeouf, and the movie is a classic vacation gone awry story that will never get old. You know you've missed having Louis, Beans, and Ren in your life, and now you can hang out with them again for old time's sake.
Watch It: Saturday, May 28 at 4:30 p.m. ET/PT
5. Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior
Wendy Wu is one of the most underrated DCOM characters ever. Wendy is like Buffy without the angst. She's a cool teen/warrior who kicks butt and loves fashion. Even if you missed out on this movie growing up you will still fall in love with it now.
Watch It: Friday, May 27 at 12:55 p.m. ET/PT
6. Brink!
Remember that massive crush you had on Erik von Detten when you were a tween? Prepare for all those feelings to come back when you see him with his adorable floppy hair and passion for in-line skating. Yes, it will be as marvelous as it sounds.
Watch It: Sunday, May 29 at 11:20 a.m. ET/PT
7. Cadet Kelly
Not only is Cadet Kelly on theme for Memorial Day, it stars '00s queen Hilary Duff being very Lizzie McGuire-esque when she is sent to military school. This DCOM is all about perseverance and shattering gender norms — and it also happens to be genuinely funny too.
Watch It: Monday, May 30 at 11:55 p.m. ET/PT
8. The Proud Family Movie
The Proud Family was one of the '00s best cartoons. It was relatable and charming in all the best ways. However, the movie is totally bonkers. You may have forgotten that its plot involves peanut creatures going on a rampage. That is an actual thing that happens and it is magical.
Watch It: Saturday, May 28 at 8:05 a.m. ET/PT
9. Smart House
If this movie terrified you when it premiered, you are not alone. I too was terrified that technology would one day turn my house into prison run by an overly helpful Katey Sagal. It is time to face your fears though because in actual fact this movie is clever, and weirdly on point in the age of Siri. Plus, Sagal!
Watch It: Monday, May 30 at 2:55 p.m. ET/PT
10. Twitches
Tia and Tamara Mowry as twin witches who were separated at birth? It is Sister, Sister with magic, and if you don't think that is perfect, I don't understand you as a person.
Watch It: Saturday, May 28 at 2:50 p.m. ET/PT
11. Motocrossed
Disney does Shakespeare in this adaptation of Twelfth Night, only it is way more awesome because it also involves motocross racing and a girl totally owning the game. If you watch just one action-oriented DCOM during the marathon, make it this one.
Watch It: Sunday, May 29 at 4:35 p.m. ET/PT
12. Stuck In The Suburbs
At one point in your life you had every original song from this movie memorized. The minute you start watching it all those pop gems are going to come flooding back as will your love for Brenda Song.
Watch It: Monday, May 30 at 10:00 a.m. ET/PT
13. Quints
Halloweentown's Brown stars in this perfect comedy that both only children and people with huge families will respond to. It is super down to earth for a DCOM, and if you loved it when it first aired, there is a good chance you will appreciate it even more now.
Watch It: Saturday, May 28 at 9:50 a.m. ET/PT
14. High School Musical
Come on, you cannot have a DCOM marathon without watching High School Musical. That is an actual rule that is written down somewhere. Besides, you know you need more baby Zac Efron in your life.
Watch It: Monday, May 30 at 4:30 p.m. ET/PT
Your DCOM marathon schedule is now all set. Mark those calendars now because Memorial Day is coming and you so do not want to miss out on this amazing gift from the Disney Channel.
