It was a happy day for comedies everywhere when FOX announced that Brooklyn Nine-Nine was renewed for Season 4. However, now that Season 3 finale is fast approaching (seriously, you guys, it's only like a few mere hours away!), I can't help but think about how long it'll be until Brooklyn Nine-Nine returns from it's summer hiatus. While no official word has yet to be made about a specific Season 4 premiere date, the last three seasons have all debuted during the month of September, so odds are that the fourth installment will follow suit and continue the pattern. That means viewers are looking at around five whole months of a 99th Precinct-less world.
Now, normally, my first instinct is to curl up into a little ball and wait this dry period out with junk food and Netflix, but instead I thought I'd try a different approach this time around and channel my grief in a more productive way. (Is this what being an adult feels like?) So in honor of this sitcom's overall brilliance, I've taken the liberty of rounding up some of Brooklyn Nine-Nine's best partner team-ups that will be missed most during the hiatus. May there be many more pairings like these in the near future. (The sooner, the better!)
Jake & Charles
There is nothing Charles wouldn't do for Jake, and whether he wants to admit it or not, Jake feels the exact same way. Criminals beware: this bromance is unstoppable.
Amy & Rosa
These two could not be more different from each other, but that's really what makes this pairing so perfect. They make one another better detectives and serve as living proof that female NYPD officers know how to get sh*t done. Respect their badassery.
Hitchcock & Scully
Because, let's be honest, we all secretly recognize a part of them in ourselves. Especially concerning their love and appreciation of food.
Captain Holt & Jake
No one can wear down this stoic leader and get him to let loose quite like Jake Peralta. Personality-wise, the two of them are polar opposites, but when they team up to solve a case you better believe that justice will be served.
Gina & Pretty Much Anyone
Whether she's flirty with Terry or choreographing the best dance sequences you've ever seen, Gina serves as a perfect match for pretty much anyone in the office. Because where she goes, hilarity is sure to follow.
