The Best Celebrity Looks at New York Fashion Week Fall 2014, Part 2
That’s a wrap, ladies and gentlemen: New York Fashion Week Fall 2014 has officially come to a close, forcing us all to go back to our life as scheduled until the Spring ’14 collections roll around this September. But before we move on to the next city’s designers and collections — London Fashion Week kicks off today — let’s take a little time to reflect on what’s really important: the celebrities who had killer front-row style. Now, we’ve already covered the first half of the best star style from New York Fashion Week (along with the celebrities who really mucked things up this year), but let’s take a little time to honor those famous faces who made the front rows of the last several shows look so god. Here are the 10 best celebrity looks from NYFW, part two.
Taylor Schilling
Orange may be the new black, but we think the actress looks pretty amazing in the old version, showing up to the Theory show rocking simple black jeans, a basic blouse, and a black and white striped blazer.
Rita Ora
After showing off her punk side at the DKNY show, the singer classed it up a bit for Donna Karan’s 30th anniversary show, looking chic but still sexy in a low-cut, sheer-paneled wrap dress, slinky gold heels, and a perfect red pout.
Solange Knowles
Proving she can’t go wrong in color, Knowles made a bright, bold appearance at the Milly by Michelle Smith show in a tailored cobalt-blue blazer, orange turtleneck, orange trousers, and pretty pastel-pink lip.
Tina Fey
We were thrilled to see the funny lady — who wore Carolina Herrera throughout her 2014 Golden Globes hosting gig — show up to the designer’s Fall 2014 show, and we can’t think of a time when she’s looked more adorable. From the expertly draped and tailored coat to the librarian-chic glasses and bun, Fey looked every bit the sophisticated lady that Herrera’s designs embody.
Dakota Fanning
After wearing a super-sexy outfit to the Rodarte show, Fanning covered up a bit for Proenza Schouler, opting for a classic black-and-white combo featuring an ankle-length coat, mini dress, chunky black heels, and exaggerated cat eye.
Alexa Chung
Looking every bit the it-girl that she is, Chung went from a super laid back combo at Marc by Marc Jacobs to this sleek-and-chic sweater and front-slit skirt ensemble that she wore with ankle-strap pumps and a red lip at Marc Jacobs.
Katie Holmes
She may have looked red hot in her lace number at the Marchesa show, but it was Holmes’s sexy leather look at Donna Karan that really made us notice the former Mrs. Cruise among the big-name front rowers.
Jamie Chung
When you attend a million shows during Fashion Week, we’re sure it’s a challenge to look amazing at each and every one of them. The actress passed that test, though, looking casual-cool at the Alice + Olivia presentation in a pleated leather midi skirt and printed crop top.
Jessica Hart
She didn’t walk the runway, but this model looked like she stepped straight off the catwalk in an emerald turtleneck sweater, baby-blue skirt, and head-turning graphic coat.
