How To Do Rainbow Brows In 9 Colorful Steps
Love pastel hair, but feel a little too scared to take the bleach-to-dye plunge all over your head? No worries, because you can get all the fierce impact of colorful hair simply by coloring your eyebrows with makeup. Scroll on for how to do rainbow brows in nine colorful, easy steps. The best part? No bleach required!
The rainbow eyebrow trend has been around for awhile (of course Miley Cyrus has already rocked pink eyebrows) and NYFW 2015 was all about it, but now the look is starting to takeover Instagram, too. While some people are going super dramatic and actually dyeing their eyebrows different rainbow hues, you definitely don't have to go that far to achieve the look!
As shared on POPSUGAR, brands like Shu Uemura and popular Seoul label, Kye, offer tinted brow gels that make it a total breeze to get a subtle and sexy rainbow brow. I personally recommend pairing a colored brow with a cute fanny pack, thick choker, and flower crown for the ultimate festival season style!
For exactly how to get the look, I sifted through tons of YouTube tutorials to find the easiest to follow. I ended up picking BeccaBoo318's colored brow tutorial, and broke down the steps below.
1. Round Up Products
Kat Von D Ink Liners, $20, Sephora
You'll need a mix of liners, concealer, and powder. Becca specifically used Kat Von D Ink Liners in Nietzsche, Nerdrum & Baudelaire, NYX HD Concealer Wand in Porcelain, Firma Beauty 203 Concealer Brush, e.l.f. Flawless Concealer Brush, Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in Fair, Sigma F75 Brush, NYX HD Translucent Finishing Powder, and e.l.f. Blush Brush.
2. Line The Base And Add Texture
Start by lining the bottom of your brow so that it's strongly defined. Then, create hair-like strokes through your brow.
3. Follow With The Top
Taking the same liner, shape out the top of your brow and finish it out through to the tip.
4. Fill In With Lightest Liner
To add a natural ombre effect, reach for the lightest liner and start applying in textured strokes on your inner brow.
5. Add Drama On The Bottom
With the darkest liner, outline the bottom of your brow arch and fill in through to the middle.
6. Define With Concealer
NYX HD Concealer Wand, $4.99, ULTA Beauty | Sigma F75 Brush, $16, Sigma
Shape under the brow with a thick application of concealer.
7. Add Powder And Smooth
e.l.f. Flawless Concealer Brush, $3, e.l.f. Cosmetics
To blend and shape, simply smooth the concealer out with a little powder.
8. Repeat On Top
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer, $6.99, ULTA Beauty
Yup, simply shape with concealer and smooth with powder on the top, too.
9. Re-Highlight To Finish
NYX HD Translucent Finishing Powder, $9.99, ULTA Beauty | e.l.f. Blush Brush, $3, e.l.f. Cosmetics
To make your brow pop, add just a bit more of the highlighting liner and then you're done! Talk about cool, amirite?
