Taylor Swift's Platinum Hair Might Not Be Real

We’ve all come to know and love this singer’s look. Honestly, she’ll never go out of style with her blonde locks, love of red lipstick and affinity for matching sets. She constantly rocks such a classic look and even when switches up her bangs, the world takes notice. So, when she went platinum blonde for the cover of Vogue , the internet took one giant, collective gasp. But, is Taylor Swift’s blonde hair real? Dyed or no, it’s likely not a permanent thing, guys. We all know T. Swift can’t stay away from her typical beauty look too long. Not when it works so well for her and is as iconic as it is, you know? UPDATE: Swift's new 'do is indeed real! The singer posted a snap to her Instagram confirming that she really did dye her locks.

According to Teen Vogue, hair stylist Shay Ashual is responsible for the shocking white blonde color and shaggy fringe. Ashual posted to Instagram mentioning Swift’s new look writing “#wig” in the caption. So, everyone can now breathe a sigh of relief, because this could very well be even more temporary than we thought. Although, since the singer’s always been blonde, it wouldn’t be that big of a leap to go lighter. It’s just that, you know, she’s Taylor Swift, and she must forever wear a red lip and keep her hair the same. Or at least, that’s what I always pictured she’d do in my mind.

In my imagination, she’d stay locked in this sort of style time capsule, but honestly, after getting over the initial shock, I do think she looks incredible. I'm officially declaring that I love the look, no matter how permanent it may or may not be.

She doesn’t seem to mind the change of pace, either. “This is my favorite cover I've ever gotten to be a part of,” she captions the Instagram post.

It's different, but a good different, you know?

She's works an edgy, rock 'n roll look, just as well as she own her typical simplistic and sweet style.

After seeing this, I'm convinced that she can pull anything off! Because, well, she just can.
