Well, here is some exciting news. On Tuesday, Kelly Clarkson gave birth to her second child with husband Brandon Blackstock, the singer announced via Twitter Thursday. Not only did the American Idol winner reveal she is now officially a mom of two, but she also revealed her little guy's name, which is both traditional and unique. Ready for it? They named him Remington Alexander Blackstock. If I do say so myself, that's a pretty great name.
As she wrote on Twitter, "Our little baby boy has arrived!! Remington Alexander Blackstock was born 4/12/16 & he is healthy & we couldn't be happier or more in love!" It's clear that she is over the moon and already in love with her son.
In August 2015, Clarkson announced her second pregnancy during her "Piece by Piece" tour performance in Los Angeles. Now, her son is here and I can only imagine how excited Clarkson and Blackstock's firstborn, daughter River Rose, is about her baby brother.
What I do know is that it seems Clarkson and her husband are fans of alliteration. I mean, their two kids together are named River and Remington. How fantastic is that? Maybe that was a happy accident, or maybe they were just trying to be super clever. Either way, I'm a fan.
Congrats to both on their exciting addition!
