Celeb Couples Who Love Watching 'The Bachelor'

by Marenah Dobin

Aside from just watching the shows, one of the best things about watching The Bachelor and The Bachelorette is the social aspect. It becomes much more than a television program when you have someone to view and discuss the drama with, and there's no one better to watch with than your own boyfriend or girlfriend. Maybe you've had some trouble getting your significant other to sit on the couch with you during Monday night episodes, but you might be able to convince him or her to watch with you if you let them know that there are actually a lot of celebrity couples who are major Bachelor fans, who not only watch the show together, but are extremely open about their fandom.

Watching the romantic dysfunction can make you feel better about your own relationship, and I'm sure this goes for celebrity fans, too. And, when things actually do work out for the reality TV couples, I bet celebs probably love to root for them since they understand what it can be like to have a public romance.

It may seem like a chore trying to get your significant other to watch The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, or Bachelor in Paradise, but there are plenty of celebrity couples who love the franchise and you can be just like them!

1. Jennifer Aniston & Justin Theroux

I would think Jennifer Aniston is too busy being an A-List celebrity to watch The Bachelor. But on the other hand, it does make sense that someone who has been highly criticized for her love life would want to watch the romantic craziness of others. The actor told The Hollywood Reporter of The Bachelor: "Justin and I, just for fun, watched — and two hours later, we were addicted. It was like junk food. We were sad when it ended."

2. Charlize Theron & Sean Penn

Even though they are no longer a couple, Sean Penn and Charlize Theron used to watch The Bachelor together on the reg. Penn revealed this during an interview with Jimmy Kimmel:

We argue about whether or not we should fast [forward]. I don't really want to hear the conversations, I want to know the decisions. You can decide on this one or this one. And I want to see somebody cry. And then see somebody get ecstatic and then see them cry.

That was definitely unexpected. I could never picture these two watching reality TV, but it is pretty refreshing to hear that they indulge just like us normal folks.

3. Kelly Ripa & Mark Consuelos

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos have discussed The Bachelor plenty of times when he has filled in as a guest host on her talk show. Ripa has even dressed up in honor of the show just to add some extra fun to the discussion. Consuelos once said, "I've put in a lot of Bachelor hours." They watch the show together and get to discuss it on another TV show. That is just the epitome of relationship goals right there.

4. Mila Kunis & Ashton Kutcher

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher are notoriously private, so I'm pretty shocked that they actually talked about anything personal, let alone a TV show that they watch together. Clearly, Kunis is a super an since she forced Kutcher to take a photo standing in front of the TV screen while Jared Haibon appeared on Bachelor in Paradise, because contestant Ashley Iaconetti said that they looked alike. Kutcher does not seem to be as into the show, but he is present when Kunis watches it so that makes them count as a couple on this list.

5. Nicole Kidman & Keith Urban

Not only do Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban watch The Bachelor together, but they are also very vocal when it comes to sharing their interest. During an interview with Bachelor host Chris Harrison, Urban joked, "I'm waiting for you to say 'Keith, the last rose, the final rose.'" He also said, "Oh we're going to the fantasy suite immediately. Absolutely!" Life & Style claimed that the celeb couple was not a fan of Chris Soules and felt that he was "a phony and a fake." So I guess it's safe to say that these two are invested in the reality TV franchise...

6. Emma Roberts & Evan Peters

It's hard to tell what's going on with Emma Roberts and Evan Peters in regard to their romantic status, but it seemed obvious that the couple was on again when they both posted about watching The Bachelor on Instagram. This year they both posted screen shots of Olivia Caridi's open mouth with Roberts writing, "This is how I feel about #TheBachelor being on tonight." Meanwhile, Peters captioned his post: "How I feel on the inside when my girlfriend "forces" me to watch #thebachelor."

7. Howard Stern & Beth Ostrosky Stern

Howard Stern has mentioned on his radio that he and his wife Beth watch The Bachelor and its various spin-offs together every Monday plenty of times. He has even said that they have a routine and "watch Real Housewives of Beverly Hills first to build up cache on their DVR." Stern is such a big fan of the show that Jimmy Kimmel mentioned his Bachelor fandom in a toast at his wedding, according to People. That is some serious devotion.

8. Jenny McCarthy & Donnie Wahlberg

If you follow this couple on social media, it is obvious that Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg love watching The Bachelor together. They live tweet and post photos and videos with their reactions to the episodes all the time. It's almost more entertaining than watching the show itself.

9. Kaley Cuoco & Ryan Sweeting

Sadly, Kaley Cuoco and Ryan Sweeting are not together anymore, but they did have some great times viewing The Bachelor together. Cuoco even hosts viewing parties when the episodes air. She told InStyle , "I come home from a long day of work and he's like, 'It's Bachelorette night, baby'. He wants to watch the east coast feed so we can really know what's going on."

10. Jimmy Kimmel & Molly Kimmel

Jimmy Kimmel and his wife Molly are some of the biggest Bachelor fans around. I feel like his talk show has turned into an extension of The Bachelor. At this point, Jimmy is either talking about The Bachelor or waiting for another chance to bring it up. The Kimmels even do predictions and rankings for the season and get super into the show's outcome.

11. Jenny Mollen & Jason Biggs

Jason Biggs and Jenny Mollen are very proud of their Bachelor fandom. They have talked about the show plenty of times in interviews and have posted about it on social media. Biggs even credited the couple's regular Bachelor viewing as a positive aspect of their marriage. Biggs told the New York Post , "I happen to think [my obsession is] healthy! It’s a good bonding thing for me and my wife." Even though most of the Bachelor couples don't stay together, their antics have helped Biggs and Mollen enjoy married life.

12. Paul Scheer & June Diane Raphael

Couples that mock The Bachelor together stay together, right? In this situation that is so true. June Diane Raphael stars on the Bachelor spoof series Burning Love and has talked about her love of the show, and her husband Paul Scheer appeared on the Bachelor Live after show during Ben Higgins' season.

If you want to watch The Bachelor with your significant other, you can be just like the celebrity couples on this list and make the viewing experience even more enjoyable than it already is!
