This Rory & Paris Theory Will Make 'GG' Fans Happy

There are few things that go together as well as Paris Geller and Rory Gilmore. They’re the proverbial odd couple, but they complement each other in ways that haven’t always seemed obvious from the start. They’re like peas and carrots, apples and oranges, strawberries… and whipped cream? Whatever. The point is that they just work together, which is why I’m not surprised in the least to see that Paris and Rory may be working together in the Gilmore Girls revival. Because my latest theory — based on some recently released photos from the set of the Gilmore Girls revival — is that Rory and Paris are both working at Chilton these days.

Of course, nothing has been confirmed yet, but I’ve been putting together as many pieces of the Gilmore Girls revival puzzle as I can. And the latest piece in that very complicated puzzle is a picture of Dakin Matthews, Liza Weil, and Alexis Bledel on the set of the Gilmore Girls revival recently posted to Twitter. The photo shows the three actors standing in front of a building that looks very much like Chilton. While the picture could have simply been snapped during some break from filming or an incident of the three of them coming together after filming other scenes in other locations, the outfits that Weil and Bledel are wearing suggest otherwise.

We’ve seen those outfits before. And, if we use our super strong Gilmore Girls sleuthing powers and put together the two other images where we’ve seen Paris in those pants and Rory in that dress, there might be even more to read into in this picture. The other time we saw Rory in this dress was when she was standing at the front of a class full of Chilton students, and the other time we’ve seen Paris in these pants was when she was standing in the Chilton hallway.

So does this mean that they’re both teaching there together? It seems only right that Paris and Rory would end up working together in the revival, eight years after graduating from Yale. And it would probably make fans happier than just about anything to see these two best friends dealing each other again on a regular basis. Especially since they were side-by-side all through high school and college, even living together while they were students at Yale. Of course, it’s also possible that the picture could mean something else entirely. Maybe an alumni day at Chilton or a panel discussion from former students?

Whatever the reason is that these two are back at Chilton, I can’t wait to see them together again.
