Demi Lovato Was A Total Boardroom Boss
She seems to be feeling confident tonight, and for good reason. Demi Lovato at the 2016 iHeart Radio Music Awards channeled the coolest boardroom boss look I've ever seen on a red carpet. With some throwback '80s vibes, the musician took the pantsuit and gave it equal parts edgy, chic, and totally playful vibes.
While Lovato started off as a Disney sweetheart, her style has certainly evolved over the years, going from super fun and playful to confident and sexy. And I'm in love with how her personal sense of dress has not only matured, but become much edgier and more daring. You can just feel the confidence in her looks, and that's perhaps the most important thing of all.
Tonight may mark the peak of her style evolution in the best way. Lovato rocked the red carpet with a black and white tuxedo-inspired jacket and black pants, striking ultra fierce poses along the way. The 23-year-old sported Alexander McQueen and paired it with equally statement-making Prada shoes. Can you get a better combination than that?
But this isn't your ordinary suit: The jacket featured white paneling and buttoned on her right side. Who said pantsuits had to be boring? Lovato essentially proved that boardroom bosses can be the most stylish people in the room.
To top it all off, Lovato wore her hair in a super chic bob with a side part. As for her makeup, she went with lovely bold brows and a dark lip. I'm in love with the menswear hints throughout her whole look.
While interviewing on the red carpet with E!, she revealed that she'd be wearing a different ensemble for her performance. It's hard to top this one, though — at least in my eyes. But if anyone can put together an edgy, sexy, and cool ensemble, it's Demi L.
Tonight, she's nominated for "Best Fan Army" and "Best Cover Song". Best of luck to Lovato, though she basically already won my heart.
