New York Fashion Week Fall 2014: The 10 Most Standout Looks From Day 2

Just when I started daydreaming about my favorite looks from day 1, day 2 has already come and gone. On the heels of yesterday's shows, today's collections were also abound with sumptuous furs, boxy coats and festive hat wear galore. But while some opted to keep things neutral and minimalist (Jason Wu, Rebecca Minkoff, Helmut Lang), others forecasted bold prints and bright colors for September (Kate Spade, Charlotte Ronson, Cynthia Rowley). Here are 10 of the most standout looks from day 2.

REBECCA MINKOFF 2014

I love jumpsuits. I love them in crimson. I love them layered over sheer, pink blouses. Most of all, I love when Rebecca Minkoff designs them.

HELMUT LANG FALL 2014

I’m 99 percent sure I could never pull off these legging-boots from Helmut Lang, but they sure are pretty to look at.

CHARLOTTE RONSON 2014

It’s almost like Charlotte Ronson invaded the closet of an Amish man (see: hat) and her closet from ’90s (see: kiss-covered blouse, velvet bottoms) to formulate this unforgettable ensemble. And I mean that in the best way possible.

RAG & BONE FALL 2014

Embroidered bowling shirts and varsity jackets a la Happy Days seemed to be a source of inspiration for Rag & Bone, particularly with these custom-made jackets. If only we had as cool of a name as Georgia May Jagger.

KATE SPADE FALL 2014

Could Kate Spade be any cuter? I think not. Bright colors, leopard prints and her signature polka dots ruled the collection. Honorable mention: her insanely adorable handbags (this sweet Japanese Kitty clutch and Take Out box purse).

JASON WU FALL 2014

We wonder if FLOTUS has put in an advanced order for this insanely chic pantsuit.
