Rebecca Minkoff's Fall 2014 New York Fashion Week Collection Reserved For Super Chic Tomboy Girls Only
Rebecca Minkoff may be fairly new to New York Fashion Week (her first show was in 2011), but she is an expert crowd pleaser when it comes to putting on awe-worthy and, more importantly, fun shows for her fashionable fans and followers. Celebrities (Carrie Underwood, Anna Kendrick, Victoria Justice) and fashion bloggers (Leandra Medine, Chiara Ferragni) sat pretty in the front row, listening to the sounds of British electro-pop duo Alunageorge as they ogled at Minkoff's collection which clearly was her feminine take on menswear classics.
Models paraded down the runway in tailored coats, soft button-downs, lamé dresses and chiffon skirts, all of which were constructed from subtle, neutral tones and simple plaid and striped prints. They toted fur-trimmed satchels, belt bags (aka grown up fanny packs), furry beanies and feather-adorned ankle booties. Here are 15 of her best looks from the show.

This almost feels like it came from a J.Crew catalog, but then the model threw on a knitted beanie, textured heeled sandals and crimson-colored lipstick and was like, “I’m cooler than that, betch.”

Elements like a black zip-up and patent leather ankle booties add the perfect amount of edge to an otherwise seemingly sweet dress.

Tomboy chic never rang more true than with this feminine interpretation of a baseball tee.

Sweet dreams are made of deep, red coats and soft, pink fur stoles like these. Or at least mine are.

It’s Fall, so of course we expect plaid, but not one as cool and edgy as this coat.
