Sia's "Cheap Thrills" Video Is Everything

by Alexis Rhiannon

It's here, it's finally here. There's a brand new Sia video, and it's chock full of Maddie Ziegler as always, so all is right in the world. Even better than right, in fact, as there are two newcomers in the video, so let's get to the bottom of this: who are the guys in Sia's "Cheap Thrills" video? Usually, I wouldn't get this excited about a new face in a video, because most artists use a completely different cast for each song, yada yada yada. But this is Sia we're talking about, and she not only brought Maddie Ziegler into my life — I never watched Dance Moms, don't hate me — but has also stuck with her for years now. Sia first collaborated with Ziegler on the video for the song "Chandelier," then went on to repeat that brilliant decision with videos for "Elastic Heart," "Big Girls Don't Cry," and now "Cheap Thrills". So when I see two male dancers next to Ziegler in this new video, I snap to attention right away.

According to Sia's manager David Russell, the two male dancers are Nick Lanzisera and Wyatt Rocker. Nick Lanzisera is a dancer and choreographer based out of Los Angeles, while Wyatt Rocker's Twitter describes him as "bad improv artist | earth bender | death eater," whatever that means to you. To me, it means he is both a fan of Avatar: The Last Airbender and Harry Potter aka someone who needs to be my best friend immediately.

It can be hard to focus on anyone but Ziegler when a Sia video comes out, because the young girl is so talented, but when Lanzisera and Rocker are both incredibly good. Seeing the three of them dance together makes me wish I had even a drop of dancing skill in my body. Just one drop.

In any case, they're both clearly talented dancers, holding their own with the wee genius that is 13-year old Maddie Ziegler, so I hope we see more of them in the future. Check out the music video below.
