"Finn" Grants Young 'Star Wars' Fan's Wish

Before Star Wars: The Force Awakens was even released, millions of fans around the world were clamoring to know more about Daisy Ridley and John Boyega, the two lucky young actors cast as the new leads. Lucky for many Star Wars fanatics, Ridley and Boyega both emerged as promising additions to the franchise, in both their talent and their positive personalities off-screen. Fans fell in love with their humbleness and excitement, and now, Star Wars' Finn, John Boyega has proven his real life hero skills by visiting a children's hospital and remaining one of the most humble newcomers on the Hollywood scene.

Just one look through Boyega's Instagram, and you can see that he is as real as they get. He's a young actor who is incredibly grateful for his opportunity and who never forgets about the positive impact that can come from it.

This past weekend, the 23-year-old actor visited a 5-year-old fan, Daniel Bell, at The Royal Hospital in London, and documented the sweet visit that he paid to Bell and the rest of his friends at the hospital. Bell has been diagnosed with a brain tumor and his wish with the Rays of Sunshine Children's Charity was that Boyega would visit him in character as Finn.

And that is exactly what Boyega did. He spent the afternoon in character and devoted his time to playing with light sabers and talking with the kids about his fellow Star Wars characters. D'awwww!

Bell's mother shared with the Belfast Telegraph,

To see Daniel smile like that without a care in the world after everything he's been through, knowing how much time and effort Rays of Sunshine have put in to his wish and that John Boyega gave his time to make it come true, is priceless... These things can't be bought and really do mean the world.

Boyega also shared an adorable photo of an interaction he had with another patient who asked him where Rey was:

When I heard about Daniel's wish to meet Finn, I jumped at the chance to make it come true. It was fantastic to be a part of his very special wish with Rays of Sunshine. It was also great to meet the children at The Royal London Hospital and be a part of something so positive.

Boyega has shown his very adorable and humble side in the past, as well. For instance, his total freakout when he watched the Force Awakens trailer for first time and his excitement for his first action figure, that further show he is a promising and relatable star on the rise. (He has also recently won the BAFTA Rising Star Award, FYI.) He's taken many opportunities to share this incredible experience with fans like surprising them during screenings, and being awesome about it, so I have no doubt he has the heart and talent to continue on this road to the success that he so deserves.
