Kyle's New Netflix Series Just Got Even Better

by Tanya Ghahremani

Damn, this Kyle Chandler Netflix psychological thriller series just keeps getting better and better. According to Vulture, Academy Award-winning actress (and the OG Carrie White) Sissy Spacek has joined Netflix's series as Kyle Chandler's mother. This is in addition to Linda Cardellini's excellent casting as Kyle Chandler's younger sibling.

As for the series itself: Well, it doesn't seem to have a title yet, but it's from the creator of Damages, so you know it's going to be good. It already has a 13-episode order over at Netflix as well, which is pretty much the perfect length for a drama/psychological thriller — no extra episodes that will leave way for extra fluff and pointless story lines. The plot will focus on a set of adult siblings "whose secrets and scars come to light with the return of their black-sheep brother," who is radically different than the rest of them. Chandler will portray John, the married middle brother who works in law enforcement, and Cardellini will portray Meg, a lawyer who is used to using charm to get her way in life. Said black-sheep brother will be portrayed by Ben Mendelsohn, who kind of always looks like he's got a secret so it's pretty much perfect casting.

No word yet on when we can expect this on Netflix, but you know you'll be binge-watching it the second that it is.
