Miranda Kerr Gets a New Gig With H&M
Can’t get enough of Aussie beauty and former Victoria’s Secret Angel Miranda Kerr? Well, that's a good thing, because Kerr has just been named the face of H&M's spring collection. And it comes at a fitting time, as the brand is prepping to debut its first Australian store. Though the full campaign and accompanying collection isn't expected to hit stores until next month, a few candid Instagram and Twitter shots from both H&M and Kerr show the brunette beauty looking pretty in a ruffled off-the-shoulder blouse, rosy cheeks, and a sweet pink pout.
Following her recent (and oh so tragic) split from actor Orlando Bloom, Kerr has been looking more amazing than ever, if that’s even possible. From a leg-baring black gown at a 2014 Golden Globes after party to winter-white numbers that are as chic as they are stylish, the model has wasted no time sulking around in her newly single life.
She’s been busier than ever, too. Not only is Kerr the new face of H&M, but also she recently teamed up with fashion site Shopstyle for the company’s first ad campaign. And in the last couple of months alone, she's taken on brand ambassador roles for both Clear Scalp & Hair shampoo and Swarovski.
But perhaps what’s more impressive than the number of projects Kerr has under her belt right now is the fact that H&M — a fast-fashion brand that’s known for selling $10 dresses and $50 winter coats — has managed to get yet another top model to rep its easy-on-the-wallet brand.
Over the years, superstar models like Gisele Bündchen, Christy Turlington, Doutzen Kroes, and Jourdan Dunn (oh, and freaking Beyoncé) have served their time as the face of the brand, modeling everything from swimsuit lines to holiday collections. It’s amazing that these women — who have become famous for starring in ads for Salvatore Ferragamo, Burberry, Miu Miu, and more — would model for the masses in items that probably cost less than the creams they slather on their faces at night.
In a fashion miracle, H&M has managed to strike the nearly unattainable balance of chic but easily attainable fashion that even the hottest stars and highest-paid models won’t hesitate to put their name to. And the same goes for major designers. In the past, the Swedish brand has had no trouble teaming up with fashion houses like Isabel Marant, Marni, Versace, Stella McCartney, and many more.
From models to designers, we can't wait to see who H&M gets on its side next. But for the time being, we don't mind settling for shots of Kerr's enviable hair, gorgeous body, and impossibly cute dimples.
