The One Natural Hack To Clear Pimples
Even with the most meticulous skincare regimen, pimples can still pop up unexpectedly. If you’ve been struggling to clear your skin and none of your usual treatment methods are working, consider testing out the one natural hack to clear pimples. Straight from the mouth of a professional, you can feel confident this hack gonna work!
For the one natural hack to clear pimples, I chatted with Dr. David E. Bank, Director at The Center for Dermatology, Cosmetic & Laser Surgery in New York. His suggestion is to make a DIY toner featuring tea tree oil and rose water, and he even provided a recipe. Score.
“The toner is effective against acne [because] tea tree oil contains anti-fungal, antibacterial, and antiviral properties, which help against any bacteria inside the pores that could be causing acne.” As for rose water, Dr. Bank shares, “[It] contains antimicrobial properties to help treat any bacteria that can cause acne, is very gentle, and can help restore your skin’s pH balance and maintain hydration.”
A word of caution to those of you who think putting straight-up tea tree oil will work even better than taking the time to make a toner: Dr. Bank explains, “This antibacterial oil is known to treat acne effectively and smells wonderful, however too much of it can cause skin irritation so it is important to dilute it with water so it does not irritate your skin.” The key word here is dilute, and it's a crucial step to avoid accidentally making skin peel from dryness.
Below are the ingredients and recipe for Dr. Bank’s DIY toner to get clear skin fast.
1. Clean Jar Or Spray Bottle
Mason Jar (12 pack), $17.90, Ball
This is what you’ll store your toner in.
2. Tea Tree Oil
Tea Tree Oil, $7.79, Tea Tree Therapy
For this toner recipe, you’ll need four drops.
3. Rose Water
Rose Water, $11.37, InstaNatural
Ah, it smells so good. For the toner, you’ll need a 1/2 cup.
4. Water
Tap is fine. You'll be using a 1/2 cup!
Swirl together your tea tree oil, rose water, and water together for an easy and natural DIY toner. Just dip a cotton ball or cloth in and dab over pimples to try them out and cleanse skin. It's as simple as that!
