Here's What's In Rihanna's x Manolo Shoe Range

by Amy Sciarretto

Manolo Blahniks were such a thing in the '00s. Carrie Bradshaw and Sex and the City put the shoe brand on the map. Well, Rihanna has teamed up with Manolo Blahnik for a shoe collection that is bound to revitalize the brand and introduce it to a whole new generation of shoe-loving fashionistas. The sexy shoes will be shoppable on May 5, with price tags that fall far outside of most budgets, starting at $895 and going as high as $3,995. If you can reconcile missing a few rent payments, you may be able to afford a pair. Or if you are frugal with good savings habits, start counting your pennies now. But what's in the collection? What makes it so to-die-for?

Well, there is a lot of denim! These shoes are incredibly different than her Rihanna x Puma Creepers and Trainers and it's clear that footwear are where (or "wear") Rihanna is most comfortable in a design role. She has so many shoe collabos right now.

For her Blahnik range, there will be six limited edition styles, which will only be available for in-store purchase at New York, London, and Hong Kong retail locations.

The most memorable shoe that we saw in the range so far?

An up-to-the-thigh denim bootie, dubbed "9 to 5" and which looks like chaps. RiRi herself noted how impractical but insanely sexy this shoe is, saying,"If you’re trying to get back home to your bed, don't wear them boots! You will get kidnapped in those boots, those boots are trouble."

Rawr, right? Those are some boots, indeed. IDK if they are even made for walking, actually.

There is also a bedazzled denim bootie with a neck snapper heel, dubbed "Dancehall Cowgirl."

The Rih-vi's are a jewel-encrusted, strappy slide.

Meanwhile, the Sea Salts mix sequins and denim.

Rihanna certainly came up with a fresh and glam way to work the denim into seriously high and high-end heels.
